Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Philodendron Prince of Orange, is a self-heading tropical plant grown for its vibrant new growth. It is a cultivated hybrid, not found in the wild. What makes this plant special is the way new leaves emerge in bright orange tones and gradually mature to copper and then deep green, giving it a constantly shifting color display. The leaves are broad, smooth, and slightly oval, held upright on sturdy stems, creating a full, compact shape.

Light requirements
Place Philodendron ‘Prince of Orange’ in an east or west window for the best color and growth, positioned at the window or within 1 to 3 feet depending on intensity. A south window can work if pulled back to avoid harsh direct exposure, while a north window will slow growth and dull the orange tones. Under grow lights, use 5000K to 6500K and keep the light 10 to 14 inches above the canopy. It performs best around 200 to 500 foot-candles. Consistent light helps maintain vibrant new growth.

Watering & environment
Allow the soil to dry about halfway down before watering, and always check the root zone with a chopstick or meter. Use a well-draining mix and avoid letting the plant sit in excess moisture. It prefers moderate humidity and steady airflow, adapting well to typical indoor conditions.

What your plant is telling you
If leaves begin to droop or feel thinner, it is ready for water. If leaves yellow or the base softens, the soil is staying too wet. If new leaves come in dull or less orange, it needs more consistent light.
