Snow Queen Pothos 6”

Epipremnum aureum ‘Snow Queen’, a cultivated pothos from Southeast Asian lineage, is known for its heavily white-variegated leaves with soft green marbling throughout. What makes this plant special is how white-dominant it can become—some leaves appear almost entirely white with subtle green veining, giving it a bright, high-contrast, airy look compared to other pothos varieties.

Light drives both how white it stays and how well it grows. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–12 inches from the top of the plant. In lower light, it will quickly revert to more green and lose that bright appearance. Strong light keeps the variegation crisp but needs to be balanced to avoid burning the white sections.

Watering should stay balanced and slightly more attentive than green pothos. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain, using a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark. This plant shows stress through its variegation—if new leaves come in greener, it’s reacting to light. If white sections brown or thin, it can be from light intensity or inconsistent moisture. Yellowing leaves with soft stems while the soil is wet indicate the roots are staying too saturated rather than needing more water.
