Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Myrtillocactus geometrizans ‘Fukurokuryuzinboku’, commonly called ghost boobie cactus, is a mutated cactus from Mexico known for its irregular, knobby growth that forms rounded, breast-like protrusions along the stem. What makes this plant special is its sculptural, almost surreal form—each plant grows differently, with a pale blue to ghostly green tone that gives it a bold, collector-level presence.

Light drives how tight and defined those knobby forms stay. Place it in a south or west-facing window where it receives strong, direct light. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 6–10 inches from the top of the plant. In lower light, the growth becomes stretched and less defined, losing that compact, sculpted look. Strong light keeps the plant dense, rounded, and more intensely colored.

Watering should be minimal and controlled. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it dry again, using a fast-draining mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark. This plant shows stress through its structure—if the base softens or turns dark, the roots are staying too wet. If new growth elongates instead of forming rounded sections, it’s reacting to light, not water. Slight wrinkling while remaining firm indicates it’s ready for water, while any mushy areas signal excess moisture.
