Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Marble Flame’, native to Southeast Asia, is a climbing aroid known for its elongated leaves marbled with creamy white, yellow, and green variegation. What makes this plant special is its flame-like patterning—irregular streaks and patches that run through each leaf, combined with the species’ ability to develop deep splits as it matures. As it climbs, the leaves become larger, more fenestrated, and more dramatic, giving it strong collector appeal.

Light supports both variegation and leaf development. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will cause the variegation to fade and the plant to lean more green, while too much direct sun can burn the lighter sections.

Watering should stay balanced and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep the roots airy. If new leaves are coming in with less variegation or reduced size, it is not getting enough light. If the plant continues producing smaller, solid leaves without developing splits as it climbs, it needs more light or stronger support. Longer spacing between nodes points to light issues rather than watering.
