Collection: Alocasia
Alocasias, also known as elephant ear plants, are native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Eastern Australia. These plants are prized for their striking, large, heart- or arrow-shaped leaves, which can be deep green, purple, or patterned with silvery veins. Alocasias thrive in warm, humid environments and prefer well-draining, slightly acidic soil. They grow best with bright, indirect light and require regular watering to keep the soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged. These plants can be quite sensitive to temperature changes and may not tolerate drafts or cold temperatures. While they are often grown as ornamental houseplants, Alocasias can also be cultivated outdoors in suitable climates, where they can reach impressive heights.
