Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Dieffenbachia ‘Tiki’, a tropical plant from Central and South American lineage, is known for its broad, oval leaves with a creamy white to light green center layered with darker green margins and soft feathering throughout. What makes this plant special is its balanced, almost brushed pattern—lighter in the center with a smooth gradient outward—giving it a clean, full look while maintaining a strong upright form.

Light drives both pattern clarity and leaf size. Place it in an east or north-facing window where it gets steady, gentle light without direct sun hitting the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–12 inches from the top of the plant. In lower light, the center pattern becomes less defined and new leaves may come in smaller. Strong, even light keeps the contrast clean and the plant more compact.

Watering should stay moderate and consistent. Allow the top portion of the soil to dry slightly, then water thoroughly and let it drain, using a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep airflow high. This plant shows stress through its lower leaves—if they yellow gradually, the soil is staying too wet. If the plant leans or stretches, it’s reacting to light. Sudden leaf droop while the soil is wet points to root stress, while soft stems at the base indicate the roots are staying too saturated.
