Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Breynia disticha ‘Snow Bush’, commonly called Snow Bush, is a tropical shrub grown for its colorful variegated foliage. Native to Pacific Islands and parts of Southeast Asia, it grows in warm, bright environments with high humidity. What makes this plant special is the mix of pink, cream, white, and green foliage that intensifies with stronger light. The leaves are small, oval, and densely arranged along thin branching stems, giving the plant a light, airy appearance with strong color contrast.

Light requirements
Place Snow Bush in an east or south window for the best color and growth, positioned at the window or within 1 to 2 feet depending on intensity. A west window can also work well if monitored for harsh late-day heat, while a north window will reduce variegation and cause leggier growth. Under grow lights, use 5000K to 6500K and keep the light 8 to 12 inches above the canopy. It performs best around 400 to 800 foot-candles. Brighter light increases pink and cream coloration.

Watering & environment
Allow the soil to dry about halfway down before watering, and always check the root zone with a chopstick or meter. Snow Bush prefers a well-draining mix and does not tolerate sitting wet for long periods. It performs best with moderate to higher humidity, warm temperatures, and steady airflow.

What your plant is telling you
If leaves begin dropping or stems soften slightly, it is drying out too much. If leaves yellow rapidly or stems become mushy, the soil is staying too wet. If the pink and cream coloration fades or growth stretches, it needs more consistent light.
