Origin of Anthurium 'Queen of Hearts The Queen of Hearts is a hybrid variety of the Anthurium species, specifically bred for its distinctive heart-shaped, glossy red spathes (the modified leaves that look like petals). Like other anthuriums, it originates from tropical regions of Central and South America, particularly Colombia and Ecuador, where the genus Anthurium is native. The Queen of Hearts has been cultivated for ornamental purposes and is known for its striking appearance and long-lasting flowers.

Light: This variety of anthurium thrives in bright, indirect light. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves. Ideally, place it near a window with filtered light, or use sheer curtains to diffuse the sun.

Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Water when the top inch of the soil feels dry. During the winter months, reduce watering, as the plant's growth slows down.

Humidity: Anthuriums love humidity. If your home is dry, increase humidity by misting the plant, placing it on a humidity tray, or using a humidifier. Aim for 60% humidity or higher.

Temperature: Keep your plant in temperatures between 65°F and 80°F. Avoid placing it in drafty areas or near heaters, as sudden temperature changes can stress the plant.

Fertilization: Feed your plant with a balanced liquid fertilizer once a month during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce or stop feeding in the fall and winter.

Repotting: Repot your Anthurium every 1-2 years to refresh the soil and provide more space for growth. Choose a well-draining potting mix.

Cleaning: Clean the leaves gently with a damp cloth to remove dust and allow the plant to "breathe" better.
