Monstera

Monstera is a popular genus of tropical plants native to the rainforests of Central and South America, renowned for their distinctive, large, glossy leaves that often develop unique splits and holes as they mature—giving rise to the common name "Swiss cheese plant." The most well-known species, Monstera deliciosa, is celebrated for its impressive foliage and its ability to thrive as a low-maintenance houseplant. Monstera plants grow best in bright, indirect light, though they can tolerate some shade. They prefer well-draining, slightly acidic soil and require regular watering, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot.
