The Monstera Mint is a rare and striking variegated form of Monstera deliciosa, featuring a beautiful marbling of creamy white, pale green, and minty hues across its iconic split leaves. Unlike the typical variegated monstera, the Mint variety tends to have softer, more speckled or streaky variegation — giving it a frosted or marbled appearance. Originally from the tropical rainforests of Central America, this mutation is a true collector's gem and often hard to find due to its slow growth and rarity.

To maintain its color and health, the Monstera Mint needs bright, indirect light — enough to support its variegation, but not so much that it burns the lighter parts of the leaves. A south- or east-facing window with sheer curtains is ideal. Insufficient light will cause the minty marbling to fade, while too much direct sun can scorch the white portions of the leaves, which are more delicate due to lacking chlorophyll.

Care-wise, treat it like a tropical VIP: give it a chunky, well-draining mix (orchid bark, coco coir, and perlite work great), and allow the top inch or two of soil to dry between waterings. Maintain moderate to high humidity (50–70%) to support lush growth and prevent browning on the variegated edges. Fertilize monthly during the growing season with a balanced, diluted fertilizer to promote healthy variegation and new growth. Regularly wipe down the leaves to let them absorb more light.
