Monstera deliciosa ‘White Monster’, a rare variegated form from tropical Central American lineage, is known for its large, split leaves with heavy, high-contrast white variegation across a deep green base. What makes this plant special is its bold, almost marbled white sections that can take up large portions of the leaf, giving it a dramatic, collector-level appearance that stands out even among other variegated monsteras. As it matures and climbs, the leaves develop larger fenestrations and more striking patterns.

Light supports both variegation and leaf development. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 8–12 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will cause the plant to lean more green and reduce that bold white variegation, while too much direct sun can burn the white sections.

Watering should stay balanced and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep the roots airy. If new leaves are coming in with less white and more green, it is not getting enough light. If the plant produces smaller leaves with fewer splits, it may also need more light or support. Browning on the white sections is typically from light or moisture stress rather than a disease.
