Philodendron ‘Xanadu’ is a compact, tropical aroid prized for its deeply lobed, glossy green leaves that emerge in a lush, symmetrical clump. Unlike some climbing philodendrons, ‘Xanadu’ grows in a tidy, bushy habit, making it ideal for indoor spaces, patios, or as a container accent. Its evergreen foliage and low-maintenance nature make it popular among collectors and plant enthusiasts looking for a bold, tropical look without the climbing habit of other philodendrons.

‘Xanadu’ thrives in bright, indirect light, such as near an east-facing window for gentle morning sun or filtered light from a north-facing window. It can tolerate medium light, but placing it in too low-light conditions may cause slower growth and smaller leaves. Avoid direct afternoon sun from south- or west-facing windows, which can scorch the leaves. Rotate the plant occasionally to encourage even growth and prevent leaning toward the light source.

Water when the soil is dry, using a well-draining aroid mix with peat, perlite, and orchid bark. Maintain moderate humidity (50–70%) for lush foliage, and fertilize monthly during spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Prune any older or damaged leaves to maintain its tidy appearance, and repot every 1–2 years to refresh the soil and allow healthy root development. With proper care, Philodendron ‘Xanadu’ will provide year-round greenery and a striking tropical centerpiece.
