Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Philodendron ‘Blizzard’, a variegated hybrid from tropical South American lineage, is known for its elongated, glossy leaves heavily marbled with white, cream, and green. What makes this plant special is its high-contrast, storm-like variegation—some leaves can be nearly half white while others are finely marbled, giving it a bold, unpredictable look that stands out among variegated philodendrons. It grows as a climbing plant, producing larger, more dramatic leaves as it matures.

Light supports both variegation and leaf development. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will cause the plant to lean more green and reduce that strong variegation, while too much direct sun can burn the lighter sections.

Watering should stay balanced and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep the roots airy. If new leaves are coming in with less white and more green, it is not getting enough light. If the plant produces smaller leaves with less defined marbling, it may also need more light or support. Browning on the white sections is typically from light or moisture stress rather than a disease.
