Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Hoya kerrii, native to Southeast Asia, is a succulent vine known for its thick, heart-shaped leaves that store water and grow along slow, climbing or trailing stems. The leaves are smooth, glossy, and firm, giving it a clean, structured look, and over time it can develop longer vines with multiple hearts rather than staying as a single leaf cutting.

Light supports growth and encourages fuller vines. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will result in very slow growth and longer gaps between leaves, while stronger light helps keep the plant compact and encourages new vine development.

Watering should be minimal and controlled. Allow the soil to dry out most of the way between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep it fast-draining. If the leaves begin to feel softer or lose their firmness, it is ready for water. If the plant is not producing new vines over time, it is often not getting enough light. Wrinkling along the leaves indicates thirst, while yellowing or soft stems point to excess moisture at the roots rather than underwatering.
