Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

White Fusion is a cultivar of Calathea lietzei, native to tropical regions of South America, and is known for its striking white, green, and soft lavender-toned variegation. Each leaf looks almost painted, with unpredictable patterns that make every plant unique. What makes this plant highly desirable is the high-contrast variegation combined with the soft movement typical of Calatheas, but that same variegation also makes it more sensitive to environmental changes.

Place this plant in a north or east-facing window about 1–3 feet from the glass, or a west-facing window 4–6 feet back. It needs consistent, moderate light to maintain variegation without burning the white sections. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K positioned 12–14 inches above the plant. If the variegation starts to dull or the plant stretches, it needs more light. If the white areas brown or crisp, the light is too strong or too direct.

Water using a chopstick or meter and keep the soil lightly and consistently moist without letting it fully dry out. This plant is sensitive to both underwatering and water quality. Crispy edges often point to low humidity, inconsistent watering, or mineral buildup, while yellowing and soft stems indicate overwatering. It prefers higher humidity and stable conditions, and will react quickly if those conditions shift.
