The bamboo palm (Chamaedorea seifrizii) is a popular indoor plant known for its elegant, feathery fronds and air-purifying qualities. To care for a bamboo palm, keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy—allow the top inch to dry out between waterings. These palms enjoy moderate humidity, so occasional misting or placing a humidity tray nearby can be beneficial, especially in drier indoor environments. Avoid overwatering, as this can lead to root rot. Fertilize monthly during spring and summer with a diluted, balanced houseplant fertilizer to support healthy growth. When it comes to lighting, bamboo palms prefer bright, indirect light.
