The Hoya ‘Sigillatis Silver’ is a rare and attractive tropical vine native to Southeast Asia, particularly Malaysia and Indonesia. It is prized for its thick, waxy, silver-speckled leaves that grow along sturdy vining stems, creating a cascading, sculptural effect. The foliage often has a subtle shimmer, giving the plant a unique, almost metallic appearance that makes it highly sought after by Hoya collectors.

This Hoya thrives in well-draining soil and prefers to dry slightly between waterings, as it is sensitive to overwatering. It enjoys warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity, mimicking its natural tropical habitat. Regular feeding during the growing season encourages lush foliage and healthy vine growth, while occasional pruning can shape the plant and promote fuller growth.

Direction of light: The Hoya ‘Sigillatis Silver’ does best in bright, indirect light, which enhances the silver variegation and prevents leaf burn. Direct sunlight can scorch the leaves, while too little light slows growth and diminishes the metallic sheen. Its flowers are pale pink to white, star-shaped, and often appear in clusters, adding a delicate, fragrant accent to the shimmering foliage. An east- or north-facing window, or filtered light from a south- or west-facing exposure, is ideal to keep this rare Hoya healthy and vibrant.
