Summer Shipping Protection
Plants do not stop being alive once they leave the shop — and summer heat can be just as stressful as winter cold. Our summer shipping protection is designed to help reduce heat exposure, protect delicate foliage, and keep your plants secure during transit.
Each order is carefully packed using protective thermal materials, supportive wrapping, and stabilization methods that help reduce shifting, crushing, and rapid temperature swings inside the box. During periods of extreme heat, optional cool pack upgrades may be available depending on your location and transit temperatures.
Because live plants are sensitive to weather conditions during shipping, we strongly recommend monitoring your tracking information closely and bringing your package inside as soon as possible after delivery. Extended exposure to heat inside mailboxes, porches, vehicles, or direct sun can quickly damage live plants.
Our goal is always to create a safe shipping environment while still giving you a clean, thoughtful unboxing experience when your plants arrive.
🌿 Shipping Policy & Weather Protection
When We Ship
We ship Mondays and Tuesdays only to prevent plants from sitting in mail facilities over the weekend. Orders placed after Tuesday will ship the following Monday.
To help safeguard your plants from extreme temperatures, we automatically include a seasonal heat or cool pack at no extra charge. These protections help buffer your plant during shipping—but they do have limits.
Winter Shipping (Nov–March)
-
40, 72, 110 hour heat pack
-
40 hours- 1.5 days
72 hours- 3 days
110 hours- 4.5 days
-

Important Note: To ensure these weather protection kits remain effective, you may need to upgrade your shipping speed at checkout. Heat and cool packs work for a limited window (typically 1.5-4.5 days-You want your plants to arrive before the end time of the heat pack.) and standard ground shipping may exceed their protection time—especially in extreme weather or to distant locations.
40 hours- 1.5 days
72 hours- 3 days
110 hours- 4.5 days
If we believe your order is at risk due to temperature or transit time, we may contact you before shipping to confirm or suggest an upgrade.
Shipping Responsibility
Once your package leaves our hands, we are not responsible for damage, delays, or loss caused by the shipping carrier or extreme weather conditions. It is the customer’s responsibility to:
-
Choose the appropriate shipping speed based on your climate
-
Track your package and be available to receive it
-
Avoid leaving packages unattended outdoors
Weather Protection + Fast Shipping = Safer Plants
We do everything we can to protect your plant, but for full protection, we highly recommend pairing weather protection with faster shipping during cold or hot months.
We also strongly recommend adding shipping insurance at checkout. If insurance is not selected, all risk during transit lies with the buyer.
Concerns After Delivery
If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us within 12 hours of delivery. Concerns reported after this window may not be eligible for review or support. Including photos with your message helps us assist you quickly.
Welcome Your New Plant Home
Post-Shipping Recovery Guide
Shipping can be a little stressful for plants—they’ve just taken a journey in a dark box, possibly through temperature changes and handling. Here’s how to help your new plant settle in:
1. Unpack Immediately & Gently
Take your plant out of the box as soon as it arrives. If the soil is dry, lightly water it. If it’s still moist, hold off for now. A few damaged leaves are normal and won’t affect the plant long-term.
2. Let It Rest
Place your plant in a bright spot with indirect light, away from direct sun, heaters, or cold drafts. Avoid repotting, fertilizing, or pruning for at least 2–4 weeks—let your plant adjust naturally.
3. Expect Some Stress
Some plants may droop or lose a leaf or two—this is common after shipping. Be patient and resist the urge to overcorrect. Consistent care and light are key.
4. Wait to Repot
We recommend waiting at least 30 days before repotting. This prevents added stress and helps ensure your plant recovers fully before being moved to a new container.
5. Have Questions? Reach Out
We’re here to help! If anything looks off or you’re unsure how to proceed, send us a photo and message—we’re happy to guide you.
With a little care and patience, your new plant will bounce back beautifully. Thank you for supporting our shop and helping your plant have a smooth transition into its new home! 💚
