Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Pinguicula cyclosecta.
Native to Mexico, growing in rocky, mineral-rich environments with seasonal moisture shifts and bright, filtered light.
Highly desirable for its lavender to violet-toned leaves, which intensify under strong light. This species forms a tight, symmetrical rosette and transitions between carnivorous and succulent phases seasonally.
Leaves are rounded, slightly cupped, and coated in a fine, dewy mucilage. Color ranges from soft green to silver-lavender with purple tones under higher light.

Light requirements.
Prefers east and south windows.
Place directly at the window or within 1–2 ft.
Under grow lights use 5000K–6500K.
Distance from canopy.
10–14 inches for controlled growth.
8–12 inches for stronger color expression.
Foot-candles: 800–2,000 for color and compact structure. Above 2,500 fc increases purple tones.

Watering & environment.
Keep lightly moist during active (carnivorous) growth.
Allow to approach dry during succulent phase.
Always check the root zone, not the surface.
Requires airy, mineral substrate and good airflow. Prefers moderate humidity and stable temperatures above 60°F.

What your plant is telling you.
Needs water: leaves lose dew and begin to flatten or soften.
Too wet: base softens, leaves lose structure, and rot can develop quickly.
Light issues: lack of purple coloration and stretched rosette indicates insufficient light. Bleaching signals too intense exposure.
