Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

The Jungle Boogie Philodendron, commonly known as Philodendron 'Jungle Boogie', is a self-heading hybrid grown for its long, narrow leaves with jagged, serrated edges. This is where the value is, the leaf shape. Each leaf comes in elongated with that “toothed” edge that gives it movement and texture without needing variegation. It grows upright from the center rather than vining, building a full, structured plant over time. As it matures, the leaves get longer and more defined, giving it that bold, tropical, architectural look.

Light requirements start with direction. Place it in an east or west-facing window for consistent bright light. A south window works if it’s set back 2–4 feet to avoid harsh direct exposure. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K positioned 10–14 inches from the canopy. This is a medium-light plant, but stronger light will push larger leaves and more defined serration.

Watering and environment should stay consistent. Let the soil dry about halfway down, then fully saturate and allow it to drain. Always check the root zone with a chopstick or meter before watering. Use a chunky, well-draining mix with airflow around the roots. Leaves drooping with firmness mean it’s ready for water, yellowing at the base points to overwatering, and smaller, less defined leaves signal it needs more light. Keep temperatures warm and stable with moderate humidity.

Beautiful

I love the smaller plant sizes because I love watching them grow. The key to that is a strong root system and Mel definitely came through with a great plant with a good root system!

Beautiful and Healthy Philo Micans:
This is my second order from the rooted plant shop. My first order came quickly, packaged well and that plant has never given me any issues. That is why I ordered again and this experience was no different. I check her website often to see if she has any of my wishlist plants because if I can get them from her shop i know I’m getting a healthy plant and I fuss free experience.
