Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Philodendron lynamii, native to tropical South America, is a climbing aroid known for its elongated, slightly leathery leaves with a smooth surface and subtle veining. What makes this plant special is its clean, refined look—long, narrow foliage that stays structured and upright while developing larger leaves as it climbs, giving it a sleek, architectural presence compared to broader philodendrons.

Light supports both leaf size and structured growth. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will cause longer spacing between nodes and smaller, less defined leaves, while stronger light keeps the plant tighter and encourages larger foliage.

Watering should stay balanced and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep the roots airy. If the plant begins to stretch or lose its upright structure, it is reaching for more light. If new leaves come in smaller or thinner, it is not getting enough light. Yellowing at the base with soft stems points to excess moisture at the roots rather than underwatering.
