The Jungle Fever Philodendron, Philodendron 'Jungle Fever', is an upright, self-heading hybrid known for its long, narrow, deep green leaves and structured growth habit. This plant builds height over time rather than trailing, giving it a clean, architectural look. The leaves emerge lighter and harden off into a rich green, creating that layered tropical feel without relying on variegation. It’s a strong grower when established and fills in nicely with proper light.

Light requirements start with direction. Place it in an east or bright north-facing window for consistent, moderate light. It can handle a west window if pulled back 3–5 feet, but avoid direct harsh sun on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K positioned 10–14 inches from the canopy. This is a medium-light plant, and keeping that consistency will support steady, compact growth.

Watering and environment should stay controlled. Let the soil dry about halfway down, then water thoroughly and allow it to drain completely. Always check the root zone with a chopstick or meter before watering. This plant does not like sitting wet. Use a chunky, well-draining mix with airflow around the roots. Drooping with structure means it’s ready for water, yellowing lower leaves point to overwatering, and slowed growth usually ties back to low light. Keep temperatures warm and stable with moderate humidity.
