Hoya ‘Nova Ghost’ is a collector Hoya grown for its striking silver foliage, with leaves that can appear nearly completely silver while retaining darker green veining and varying amounts of green tissue. “Nova Ghost” is a horticultural cultivar/trade name rather than a separate botanical species, and its exact origin is not consistently documented in authoritative botanical references, so I would not attach an unverified species or parentage to the name. What makes it special is the heavy silver expression across the foliage, which gives established vines a pale, almost metallic appearance.
Light supports compact growth, strong vines, and the energy needed to maintain heavily silver foliage. Place it in a south or east-facing window with strong, consistent light, gradually acclimating it to stronger direct sun. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K positioned about 8–12 inches above the canopy. The amount of silver can vary between leaves, and stronger light should not be treated as a way to create or guarantee the plant’s coloration.
Allow the root zone to dry substantially between waterings, then water thoroughly and allow all excess water to drain. Use a chunky, highly aerated mix of 1/3 succulent soil, 1/3 coarse orchid bark, and 1/3 grade 3–4 perlite. Check moisture deeper in the pot with a chopstick or water meter rather than using the dry surface as your watering signal. Keep it warm with consistent airflow; extremely high humidity is not required when the plant’s light, roots, and watering are well managed.
Watch the leaves, vines, and root zone for its clearest signals. Firm foliage and active new vines indicate healthy growth, while softer or slightly wrinkled leaves paired with a dry root zone can signal that it is ready for water. Yellowing or soft foliage with wet media points toward excess moisture. Long runners can appear before leaves develop along them and are normal Hoya growth. New foliage may also look different as it emerges and hardens, so judge its final silver coloration after the leaf has fully matured.

from 904 reviewsIt was very packaged and plants looked great upon arrival.
I dont know if this is about the actual shipping protection for my plants when they were sent in the mail. I was happy with it, I probably didnt need it because the weather was mild, but better to have it and not need it.
