Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Alocasia ‘Bisma’, a cultivated alocasia from Southeast Asian lineage, is known for its thick, textured leaves with deep veining and a rich green to slightly bluish tone. What makes this plant special is its heavily ridged, almost sculpted surface that gives it a bold, armored look while staying more compact than larger alocasias. The leaves are broad and structured, creating a strong, upright presence.

Light supports both texture and leaf size. Place it in an east or south-facing window where it gets bright, consistent light without direct sun sitting on the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too little light will reduce the depth of texture and slow growth, while too much direct sun can stress the surface and cause fading.

Watering and environment need to stay consistent. Keep the soil lightly moist, never soggy and never fully dried out, using a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep it airy. If new leaves are coming in smaller with less pronounced texture, it is not getting enough light. If the plant droops while the soil is still wet, it points to excess moisture at the roots. Edges crisping while the leaf stays firm often indicate low humidity or inconsistent moisture rather than overwatering.
