Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Aglaonema pictum ‘Whites’, native to Southeast Asia, is a rare foliage plant known for its camouflage-style patterning in shades of white, cream, and green across small to medium-sized leaves. What makes this plant special is its high-contrast “camo” variegation, where lighter tones dominate more than typical pictum forms, giving it a brighter, collector-level look. It grows compact and slightly upright, staying dense with tightly spaced foliage.

Light supports both pattern clarity and compact growth. Place it in an east or north-facing window where it gets steady, gentle light without direct sun hitting the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too much direct sun can burn or fade the lighter sections, while too little light will cause the pattern to dull and lean more green.

Watering should stay moderate and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep it airy while holding some moisture. If new leaves are coming in with less white and more green, it is not getting enough light. If the plant begins to stretch or lose its tight form, it is reaching for more light. Yellowing leaves with soft stems point to excess moisture at the roots rather than underwatering.
