Aloe/Haworthia

Haworthia and Aloe are both succulent plants that hail from arid regions, with Haworthia originating primarily in Southern Africa and Aloe found across Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, and parts of Madagascar. Both plants are well-adapted to dry, hot climates and have evolved to store water in their fleshy leaves. Haworthia species typically grow in low, rosette forms and prefer partial shade, often thriving in rocky or shaded areas of their native habitats. They require well-draining soil and infrequent watering, as overwatering can lead to root rot. Aloe, on the other hand, is known for its tall, spiky leaves and its ability to tolerate full sun. Aloe species, like the popular Aloe vera, also need well-draining soil and are drought-tolerant, growing best with infrequent waterings. Both plants are relatively low-maintenance and make excellent houseplants, thriving with minimal care as long as they are protected from frost and excessive moisture.
