The Bob Cee Philodendron is a dramatic, statement-making variety prized for its long, serrated leaves that can grow impressively large with age. Each leaf develops deep lobes and jagged edges, giving it a wild, tropical look that feels almost prehistoric. As the plant matures, its foliage becomes even more elongated and textured, making it a favorite among collectors who want something bold and sculptural in their space.

Direction of light plays a huge role in how the Bob Cee grows and develops its unique leaf shape. Bright, indirect light from an east- or south-facing window encourages fuller growth and larger leaves, while north-facing windows may slow it down and produce smaller, less dramatic foliage. If placed near a west-facing window, it will need protection from the hot afternoon rays, since direct sun can burn or bleach its leaves. Positioning it correctly ensures strong, upright growth and maximizes its striking leaf form.

For care, this philodendron prefers a chunky, well-draining soil mix that mimics its natural climbing environment. Water when soil is dry, and avoid letting the roots sit in soggy conditions. Providing a moss pole or other vertical support helps it climb, which in turn produces those large, jagged leaves it’s known for.
