The Kimberly Queen Fern (Nephrolepis obliterata) is a hardy, attractive fern known for its upright fronds and tolerance to indoor conditions. Native to Australia, this fern is often chosen for both indoor décor and shaded outdoor landscapes due to its clean, non-drooping growth pattern. Unlike the more delicate Boston fern, the Kimberly Queen is more resilient and manageable, making it an ideal choice for plant lovers who want a lush, tropical feel without excessive maintenance.

For indoor placement, the Kimberly Queen Fern thrives in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but avoid deep shade or direct sun, which can scorch its fronds. A good rule of thumb is to place it 2–4 feet away from an east- or north-facing window, or just out of direct rays near a bright south- or west-facing window. Outdoors, keep it in a shaded or partially shaded area where it’s protected from harsh midday sun.
