Each plant is unique. Size, shape, fullness, and variegation will vary.

Myrtillocactus geometrizans ‘Fukurokuryuzinboku’, commonly called Boobie Cactus or Breast Cactus, is a rare crested mutation of a columnar cactus grown for its unusual rounded, protruding rib formations. Native to Mexico in its standard form, this cultivar is prized for its sculptural, almost surreal appearance rather than typical cactus symmetry. What makes it special is the blue-green skin and clustered, bulbous shapes that resemble stacked forms, giving it strong collector appeal. It grows upright and can branch over time, forming a dense, architectural structure.

Light requirements
Place Boobie Cactus in a south or west window for the highest light, positioned at the window or within 1 foot. This plant needs strong, direct light to maintain its shape and color. An east window can work but may slow growth, while a north window will not provide enough intensity. Under grow lights, use 5000K to 6500K and keep the light 8 to 12 inches above the plant. It performs best around 800 to 2,000+ foot-candles. Low light will cause stretching and loss of form.

Watering & environment
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings, and always check the full depth of the pot before adding water. Use a very fast-draining cactus mix and ensure the pot does not retain excess moisture. This plant prefers low humidity, strong airflow, and warm temperatures.

What your plant is telling you
If the plant begins to wrinkle slightly, it is ready for water. If it becomes soft, discolored, or mushy at the base, the soil is staying too wet. If it stretches or loses its compact form, it needs significantly more light.
