Alocasia odora ‘Batik’. Originates from tropical Asia, where large Alocasias grow in open, bright environments with strong humidity, warmth, and consistent moisture. This cultivar brings that large-leaf presence indoors with added pattern. Valued for its bold size and variegated, batik-style patterning. Leaves are broad, upright, and smooth with splashed lighter markings across deep green.

Light requirements.
Prefers south and west windows.
Place at the window or within 1–2 ft.
Grow lights 5000K–6500K.
8–12 inches from canopy.
Foot-candles: 1,500–3,000 for size and pattern clarity.

Watering & environment.
Keep soil lightly moist, not dry.
Check root zone before watering.
Prefers warmth, humidity, and consistent airflow.

Needs water: large leaves begin to sag.
Too wet: yellowing and slowed growth.
Light issues: pattern fades and leaves reduce in size.
