Aglaonema Airport Variegated 6”

Aglaonema ‘Airport Variegated’, a cultivated Chinese evergreen with roots in Southeast Asia, is known for its broad, oval leaves marked with creamy white to yellow variegation layered over green. What makes this plant special is its bold, patterned foliage combined with a compact, upright growth habit that stays full without needing support. The leaves have a slightly matte finish with strong contrast, making it an easy, high-impact plant.

Light supports both variegation and structure. Place it in an east or north-facing window where it gets steady, gentle light without direct sun hitting the leaves. Under grow lights, use 5000K–6500K placed 10–14 inches from the top of the plant. Too much direct sun can burn the lighter sections, while too little light will cause the variegation to fade and growth to slow.

Watering should stay moderate and consistent. Allow the soil to partially dry out between waterings, then water thoroughly and let it drain. Use a mix of succulent soil, perlite, and orchid bark to keep it airy while holding some moisture. If new leaves are coming in with less variegation, it is not getting enough light. If the plant begins to lean or stretch, it is reaching for more light. Yellowing leaves with soft stems point to excess moisture at the roots rather than underwatering.
